I bought this awesome dresser on Craigslist, 1980's all the way. I wonder why that every looked good but I'm sure it must have. It was solid wood and stored in my closet, holding junk , my treasures.
nice crowbar gina ;) |
I quickly slapped some primer on it as to hide the water stains, mouse droppings, and other unknown that lived in this dresser, but for 5 bucks I wasn't complaining.
And there it sat in the closet, then we moved....as we do every two years and I had this weird landing that need something. I quickly found the blog,http://asoftplace.net/, I watched her video on http://www.caromalcolours.com/furniture.php, and ordered Wisteria White. I ripped the molding off, sanded and painted.
The end result was an awesome turn around. I reused the pulls and sprayed them with Rustoleum Hammered spray paint to keep my project with-in my budget of ALMOST free.
I also bought the matching dresser, which is my hubby's work bench, I stole all the pulls from it and replaced the knob with the stolen pulls.
I just came across your blog and love it! You have some great ideas. I pinned your sons bedroom makeover to my Pinterest board {and gave you credit of course}! Feel free to check out my blog http://blissfullyever-after.blogspot.com!
