My first order of business when the kids start school on Monday is to clean, organize,exercise, complete Kate's Room, I'm having trouble deciding on a fabric to slip cover her chair. I really like the below fabric but I'm not sure if the two patterns together make it too busy. Let me know your thoughts !

Here is Kate's shelf but I'd like it to look more like the one below, the same size shelf may make me happier? I can't paint the walls so I'm just pretending they are more tan than yellow.

My concern would be white fabric on a chair in a kid's room????
ReplyDeleteI do think the pattern on the fabric and the curtains are similar, but not bad together.
I'm not an expert, by any means, so take what I say with a grain of salt, please! I like the white fabric and the texture of it would be a great touch to the room. However, if you're in doubt, I wouldn't do it. Reupholstering is such a huge job that you don't want to do it and then not like it, you know? I LOVE that Amy Butler fabric! Kate's room is going to be gorgeous when you are done!
ReplyDeleteWeighing in a little late here...but I'd do a slipcover if you're going with the white chair so you can wash it! Love that Amy Butler fabric and the curtains!!
